The Innova 3020 Diagnostic Tool is the perfect entry-level tool for quickly revealing the cause of "Check Engine" light warnings on any 1996 and newer car, light truck, or SUV--foreign and domestic. This affordable and easy-to-use tool connects to your vehicle and retrieves a list of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from your vehicle's computer. It is designed to be used by almost anyone, from a DIYer to the ASE master technician. The tool features a unique patented all-in-one screen and three-color LED display for quick emissions check, so you'll know if you're ready to pass an emissions/smog test. The 3020 links to all OBD2 protocols including CAN (Controller Area Network) and is 2010 model year compliant including diesel and medium duty vehicles. This device is equipped to retrieve the following OBD2 diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs): Generic Codes (P0, P2, P3, and U0) and Manufacturer Specific Codes (P1, P3, and U1). In addition, the tool features an automatic refresh feature that updates data every 30 seconds when connected to the vehicle. This helps verify that your repairs have been successful.

Over 30 States now use an OBD2 based system to check for emissions readiness, making it more important than ever to be aware of the status of your vehicle and to keep it running in top condition. With this in mind, the Innova 3020 has been designed with the ability to read the exact same emissions information as these state-required tests do to see if you will pass the first time around. Built around a simple color-coded system where Green = Pass, Yellow = Potential Problems and Red = Fail, users are able to quickly diagnose potential emission issues with the 3020. Other tool manufacturers charge over 0 for this feature alone and a separate tool has to be purchased, but the 3020 includes this with the price of purchase.
